IWT Training Course

Welcome to the training course about Inland Waterway Transport, developed by the ‘Assistance for Dnipro Transport Development’ project.

The complete training course comprises of an introduction module and eight modules where different topics are handled:

  • Inland waterway infrastructure
  • The inland vessel fleet
  • IWT strategy, policy and promotion
  • Crew requirements, training and simulators
  • The greening of inland waterways transport
  • An outlook to the future of IWT
  • Introduction to River Information Services (RIS)
  • Roadmap IWT Digital by Default and Smart Shipping

Upon completing all modules of the course, you have in-depth knowledge of all aspects of Inland Waterway Transport.

The training can be concluded with an examination and when the participant passes the exam, an e-certificate is awarded.
